This Special Interest Group will address physician perspectives on the benefits and uses of music and music therapy in medical practice. This panel of physicians will discuss its impact on research, public health, medical education, cost effectiveness, and standard patient care. Panelists will share from their unique experiences and specialties: Integrative-Family Medicine, Neonatology, Psychiatry, Primary Care Sports Medicine and Public Health. Recommendations will be provided for opportunities of collaboration in the field, and strategies to build bridges through effective communication with other physicians, administrators and health care professionals.
